Much of my work over the years has been ephemeral, site-specific work in public places, washing away in the rain. my paintings on canvas record memories of travels to communities of indigenous peoples in remote places. The more recent work includes studio studies deconstructing traditional modes of painting to create distilled interpretations of the landscape, the portrait, and the figure. My current work is a series of poetic meditations on nature, making particular reference to the eastern philosophical premise of ‘dependent origination’.
